In 2019, the province received 89 approvals for listed drugs by the China Food and Drug Administration, including 8 Class I new drugs, accounting for 61.5% of the total number of new drug approvals in the country.

Jiangsu is the birthplace of China's energy conservation and environmental protection industry, with the largest industrial scale in the country. In the next three years, JITRI plans to establish new institutes focusing on “Energy Internet”. The four main focusing areas are: renewable energy, energy storage, power grid and energy information technology.
